KALASH VALLEY & ISLAMABAD DISCOVERY

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and assist with your private transfer to the hotel. After check-in, the day is intentionally kept free for rest after your journey. Depending on arrival time, guests may relax at the hotel, enjoy a meal or take a short evening walk nearby.

After breakfast, begin a relaxed sightseeing tour of Islamabad. Visit the impressive Faisal Mosque, then continue to the Pakistan Monument and, subject to opening hours, the Lok Virsa Museum to discover Pakistan's diverse cultural heritage. Later, drive towards Daman-e-Koh in the Margalla Hills for panoramic city views. If time and conditions allow, add a visit to Saidpur Village, a historic settlement known for its traditional atmosphere and restaurants. Enjoy lunch during the
tour before returning to your hotel for a relaxed evening.

Depart early from Islamabad and begin the scenic journey towards the mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Travel through the Dir region and continue towards the Lowari route. After passing through the Lowari Tunnel, the landscape opens intothe Chitral region. Stop around Ayun for lunch and a short break before continuing into the Kalash valleys. The final mountain road leads into Bumburet Valley, where you check into your accommodation and relax after the long drive.

Spend the day exploring Bumburet at a comfortable pace. Visit the Kalash Cultural Museum for an introduction to the community's history, traditions, clothing and heritage. Continue with a guided walk through accessible traditional settlements, cultivated terraces and mountain surroundings. Where appropriate and with local permission, guests may learn about traditional crafts or everyday village life. The afternoon remains flexible for photography, a riverside walk and relaxed exploration. If a community event is taking place, your guide can advise whether visitors may respectfully attend.

Overnight: Bumburet | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, drive towards Rumbur Valley, experiencing a quieter side of the Kalash region. Explore accessible settlements, agricultural terraces and scenic viewpoints, with short walks arranged according to local conditions and group interests. The guide will provide cultural and geographical context while ensuring community interactions remain respectful
and permission-based.
Optional Birir: If weather, road conditions and daylight permit, continue towards Birir Valley, the third principal Kalash valley. The final route is decided on the day to maintain a comfortable and safe schedule.

After breakfast, leave the Kalash valleys and travel towards Chitral town. Explore selected local landmarks, which may include Chitral Fort, the historic Shahi Mosque area and Chitral Bazaar. Enjoy time to browse handicrafts, dry fruits and regional products. Weather permitting, suitable viewpoints may offer distant views towards Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush. Spend a relaxed evening in Chitral after sightseeing.

After breakfast, begin the return drive towards Islamabad. Travel back through the mountain valleys and the Lowari Tunnel, with suitable stops for refreshments, meals and photography along the way. Arrive in Islamabad in the evening, subject to road and traffic conditions. The tour concludes after drop-off at your hotel or another agreed location in Islamabad.
